103 Basic Coastal Cruising

ASA 103 teaches the intermediate sailor the required skills to cruise safely as both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat in near-coastal waters. Learn cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather, safety and seamanship.
Pre-Requisites: ASA 101
INCLUDED: Instructional Materials, Testing
3 student limit per 103 class
All courses require a non-refundable 15% deposit. Once received, all instructional materials will be mailed to you.
Final payment is due twenty-one (21) days before you arrive and is paid via emailed invoice.
If you opt to not sleep aboard you are welcome to rent our one bedroom Cottage at a $125 per night rate if available (20-25 minute drive to the marina and first come, first serve), or find other sleeping accommodations.
FAQ: Why is this course three days versus the common two days offered at most sailing schools?
By offering this course as three days it allows us to slow down allowing you to process what you are learning while giving you an additional day to hone your new sailing skills.
