We Are Now Offering ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising

Sail A Mini-Adventure!

Geared towards those that would like to learn to safely sail, day and night, 10-75 miles offshore on multi-day passages. Topics include safety and seamanship, weather and weather routing, day and night sailing, trip planning, navigation, day and night man overboard practice, heavy weather planning and sailing, advanced sail trim, and more.

Our five day Advanced Coastal Cruising course allows you to plan then sail a 200+ nautical mile sail to Charleston and back.

Announcing Our 2023 Coastal Sailing Adventures Schedule!

We are excited to announce our Coastal Sailing Adventures 2023 passage training schedule. Along with our offshore passages to Fort Lauderdale and back, our popular Florida Keys cruise, and the relaxing Charleston sail, we have added destinations to Hilton Head Island and Cape Lookout.

Beginner through advanced sailors, those seeking a learning sailing vacation, as well as adventure seekers with no sailing experience are invited aboard. As working crew you will have the opportunity to participate in every facet of the journey in an environment that promotes active learning.

Increase Your Sailing Knowledge From Home!

The ASA and Starpath have joined forces to provide a series of online courses. All the courses allow students to study at their own pace and include opportunities to interact with instructors. At the end of the course all graduating students earn official ASA certifications.

For those interested in taking our ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising course we highly recommend you take your ASA 105 Coastal Navigation course with Starpath.

Docking...Just The Thought Makes Most Sailing Students Nervous

Learn to dock safely! Beginning 2023 we will be offering the ASA 118 Docking Endorsement as a stand-alone one day class or as an add-on to either ASA 101 Basic Keelboat or ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising.

Gain hands-on experience to safely and efficiently dock an auxiliary powered sailboat.

Rent Our Cottage!

Located in Myrtle Beach, Hazel's House is a former beach cottage built in the 1920's. It was moved three blocks inland after surviving Hurricane Hazel in the 50's.

Recently totally renovated, Hazel's House is now available to be rented by our sailing school students as well as their family and friends. It is a cozy one bedroom, one bathroom cottage that is available for couples or individuals only.
