SINGLE-HANDED OR SHORT-HANDED SAILING
Our private couple/pair two-student limit combo classes prepare you for the challenges of sailing as a couple/pair while also teaching you to manage the sailboat solo in normal sailing conditions.
VARIETY OF REAL CRUISING EXPERIENCES
You will be putting most of the sailing knowledge you have gained into action. Sailing into and out of inlets. Intracoastal Waterway and inlet channel marker and tidal challenges. Anchoring in tidal and wind conditions. Each course better prepares you for what to expect in the real world.
FOCUS ON OCEAN SAILING
95% of our sailing is done in the Atlantic Ocean. Typically, each day presents different conditions to challenge and prepare you for ocean sailing, and because our sailing is done on the ocean, we get a consistent sea breeze that makes it very rare that you will have no wind during your lesson.
DESTINATION SAILING
Our ASA 104 allows for anchoring at un-inhabited Bird Island along with a 25-30 mile each way ocean sail for an overnight stay at Southport or Bald Head Island, NC.
Our ASA 106 includes a 200+ nm cruise to the Charleston safe water buoy and back, including two or three beautiful anchorages.
OCEAN SAILING/PASSAGE TRAINING
Our ocean sailing adventure trips allow you to gain experience ocean sailing distances from 200 nm to 750+ nm. Each trip will have one of our Instructors, up to six guests and gives you the opportunity to learn watch systems, real-world navigation, and typical life aboard while sailing. Learn More
STUDENT/INSTRUCTOR PRACTICE SESSION
After you receive your ASA Certification(s) we want you to keep sailing, therefore we have setup an affordable all-day sailing rate that includes an Instructor so you may return and practice your sailing skills.
